My personal development and professional training have led me to believe that playful attitudes help people cope, problem-solve and can offer emotional lightness. The objects I fabricate are visual proclamations that intend to cajole people out of adult thinking that gets in the way of creative confidence. Somewhere between childhood and adulthood, many of us stop allowing ourselves to play. We exchange it for work and responsibilities. I utilize familiar imagery such as the Spirograph™ in adornment pieces and installations as a symbolic manifestations of the lasting impression of childhood to bring levity to the foreground.
